Coffee goes stale in a folded foil bag with a clip. Loose tea loses its smell in a tin you cannot see into. Sugar lives in the packet until the packet splits. And none of it can sit on the counter, because it all looks like packaging.

This is a jar you leave out. Fluted glass that catches the light, a wood lid with a small brass ring, and a silicone seal underneath so what is inside stays fresh.

Made to be seen

• Vertical fluting all the way around, so the glass carries the light
• A pressed sunburst in the base, visible through the top
• Clear glass, so you can see what is in it and how much is left
• Two shapes, both the same size, so they line up on a shelf

The lid does the work

• Solid wood lid with a brass ring pull
• A silicone ring underneath presses against the glass rim
• Lifts off with one hand, no clamp and no thread to line up

What goes in it

• Coffee beans and ground coffee
• Loose leaf tea and dried flowers
• Sugar, salt and small grains
• Candy, nuts and dried fruit
• Cotton pads and bath salts, if it lives in a bathroom

Size
3.34 in wide and 4.52 in tall (8.5 x 11.5 cm), around 20 oz. Small enough to sit under a wall cabinet, big enough for a week of coffee.

Good to know

• Hand wash the wood lid and keep it out of the dishwasher
• The glass is hand wash recommended so the fluting stays clear
